Production Manager (Sheet Metal)

• Develop and manage production schedules to ensure customer orders and delivery timelines are achieved.
• Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and sales teams to align production planning with customer demand and material availability.
• Lead, supervise, and develop production teams, including supervisors, operators, and assemblers.
• Monitor team performance, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure effective training and development plans are in place.
• Ensure production activities comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality requirements, and operational standards.
• Identify production constraints and implement continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen.
• Optimize the utilization of equipment, manpower, and materials to improve productivity and minimize waste.
• Monitor production costs and recommend improvement measures to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements, company policies, and industry regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and training programs for production personnel.
• Prepare production reports, monitor KPIs, and escalate operational issues when required.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and quality teams to support new product introductions and process improvements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in production management, preferably within precision sheet metal, machining, or electrical cabinet assembly industries.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and workplace safety requirements.
• Proven leadership and team management skills with a hands-on approach.
• Proficient in production planning systems and Microsoft Office applications.
