Production Manager/Assistant Manager

About the role

The Production Manager/Assistant Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure production runs efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively while meeting quality standards and delivery timelines. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with proven experience in managing production lines and driving continuous improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee production schedules to meet company targets.
• Review weekly and monthly production planning based on forecast and budget.
• Prepare and manage the annual production budget.
• Work with PPIC for raw material (RM) and packaging material (PM) planning.
• Collaborate with R&D for new product development (NPD) trial runs.
• Manage and lead the production team to ensure smooth operations and optimal performance.
• Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
• Ensure adequate resources (manpower, machines, and materials) are available to meet production demands.
• Maintain and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for sprayer or packing lines.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including PDCA projects for annual cost savings.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
• 5 years of working experience in production management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement tools.
• Hands-on experience managing diverse production lines.
• Proven track record in improving efficiency, reducing downtime, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
