Production Manager/Assistant Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee production planning and scheduling, monitor performance and ensure production targets are achieved.
• Supervise production supervisors and workforce, handle scheduling, hiring, and performance management.
• Enforce compliance with safety standards, lead incident investigations, and maintain product quality benchmarks.
• Monitor departmental budgets, track labour and material costs, and implement cost-saving measures.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement lean manufacturing practices.
• Drive process improvements, automation and (AI-assisted tools) digitalization initiatives where applicable.
• Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, and quality teams to align production with business needs.
• Utilize ERP systems and production data analytics to optimize scheduling and identify potential quality issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering and related studies.
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience in production process.
• Knowledge of chemical bending/batching process is an added advantage.
• Ability to lead, coach, motivate and manage diverse teams.
• Knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage if required for operational communication.
