Production Operations Engineer

About the role

We are hiring a Production Operations (ProdOps) Engineer for a leading US-based financial services company. You will keep mission-critical production platforms stable, automate operations, improve deployments and resolve production incidents fast.

Shift and work mode

• US shift, aligned to Pacific Time (approx. 9:30 PM to 6:30 AM IST)
• Full-time, work from office
• 24x7 on-call rotation

What you will do

• Support production and non-production environments; respond to critical incidents
• Monitor system health, application performance and availability
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and put preventive fixes in place
• Build and optimise GitLab CI/CD pipelines; automate deployment, testing and release
• Deploy and manage containerised applications on Kubernetes using Helm charts and manifests
• Plan and execute database deployments, schema migrations and rollbacks
• Support PostgreSQL: performance, backup and recovery, replication and high availability
• Configure Dynatrace dashboards, alerts and proactive monitoring
• Write automation scripts, runbooks and SOPs

What you need

• 5+ years in Production Support, DevOps, SRE or Platform Engineering
• Strong GitLab CI/CD (pipelines, runners, deployment automation)
• Kubernetes cluster operations, Helm, and pod/service/ingress troubleshooting
• Database deployments: schema migrations, release management, rollback strategies
• Dynatrace or similar APM, log analysis and alerting
• Incident, problem and change management

Good to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field
• Linux administration and shell scripting
• Azure, AWS or GCP; Terraform
• Microservices and container architecture
