Production Operative

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Production Operative to join our busy production team at Big City Print Ltd.

We are a well-established, family-run label manufacturing business with a friendly, high-energy team. We operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where everyone works closely together to keep production moving and make sure our customers receive a consistently high-quality product.

The Role

Working within our production department, your main responsibility will be the finishing and rewinding of printed labels, alongside the manufacture of plain/blank labels.

You will work closely with our printers to plan your workload throughout the day, ensuring there is a constant flow of work through the production department and that completed jobs are finished, packed and ready for despatch on time.

• Operating label rewinding and finishing machinery
• Rewinding printed label work to the correct quantities and specifications
• Manufacturing plain/blank self-adhesive labels
• Checking finished work for quality and accuracy
• Tabbing and securing finished rolls
• Packing completed labels appropriately for despatch
• Producing and applying box-end identification labels
• Stacking completed boxes safely onto pallets ready for despatch
• Working closely with the printing team to organise and prioritise your workload
• Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe
• Helping the wider production team when required

About You!

We are looking for somone who enjoys working in a busy, hands-on environment and takes pride in doing a job properly. You will need to be organised and able to manage a continuous workload, as our production department moves quickly and priorities can change throughout the day.

Previous experience within labels, printing, packaging or manufacturing would be beneficial, but it isn't essential. We are happy to train the right person who has the attitude and work ethic we're looking for.
