Production Operative

Our broad product range includes relay test equipment, primary current injection systems, micro-ohmmeters, DC cable test sets and AC flash testers, along with our recent acquisition of High Voltage Instruments Limited product range.

We are currently seeking a Production Operative to join our expanding and busy team in the factory based in Guildford, Surrey. You will be working in the assembly area under direct guidance from our Production Supervisor. Your role will involve assembling Electrical Test Equipment as per our work sheet instructions and will be expected to read drawings and electrical diagrams. (Training can/will be provided).

Production Operative, your duties:

• Making sure orders are fulfilled on time and to the right quality, maintaining production workflow.
• Performing repair work where necessary to customer’s products.
• Assembling and wiring electrical products.
• Adhering to all Company policies and procedures and always setting an example to colleagues.

Production Operative, qualifications and skills:

• Previous experience in PCB soldering is desirable.
• Knowledge of wiring and cable crimping or willing to learn.
• Good concentration and attention to detail.
• A technical mind and the ability to work with small components.
• The ability to interpret technical specifications and information is desirable.
• Team player, but capable of working with minimal supervision and manage your own workload.
• General awareness of relevant safety and quality standards and procedures.
• Computer literate and / or willing to learn.

Full training will be provided in different aspects of the business from Health & Safety, product assembly and wiring, PAT testing, reading drawings and schematics.
