With a reputation for quality, innovation, and customer service, LCM works with suppliers and customers across the globe to deliver critical materials that support a range of industrial applications.

We are seeking a hands-on, safety-conscious Production Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. You'll be responsible for producing high-quality metals and alloys to precise customer specifications, ensuring full product traceability, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, environmental care, and health & safety.

This position involves operating in an electrolytic rare earth metal production facility, where full training will be provided in all aspects of electrolytic cell operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate plant and equipment safely and efficiently to meet production targets.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate production records.
  • Operate electrolytic cells — including charging, maintaining, tapping, and rebuilding — in line with company guidelines.
  • Monitor and record process data accurately throughout production.
  • Maintain a clean, organised work area to prevent contamination and maximise material use.
  • Ensure clear identification and traceability of all materials and products.
  • Package and label finished products neatly and correctly.
  • Report equipment issues, material concerns, or safety hazards promptly.
  • Support quality assurance by providing samples for laboratory analysis.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks and ensure consumable stock levels are maintained.
  • Comply fully with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies.

Skills Required

  • Experience in a foundry environment or handling molten metals is highly desirable.
  • Strong awareness of Health & Safety and Quality standards.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining standards.
  • Good numerical and record-keeping skills.
  • Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work a rotating 3-shift pattern.

Benefits:

  • Free parking
  • On-site parking
  • Private medical insurance
