Production Operator

Our client is a well-established manufacturing business based in Edinburgh North and is looking for a motivated, hands-on person to join their team.

This is a varied and physical role where no two days are necessarily the same. You won't be sitting on a forklift doing the same task all day - you'll work across different areas of the facility and assist where required.

About the Role

Your duties will include:

• Operating a forklift
• Operating CNC machinery and other foam cutting equipment
• Cutting foam accurately to measurements and specifications
• Reading and following factory work orders and cutting lists
• Assisting the foaming crew with setting up and operating machinery
• Transferring chemicals from drums to tanks
• Moving between different areas of the facility and assisting the team as required
• Following all safety procedures, company policies and workplace instructions

About You

We're looking for someone who is agile, physically fit and enjoys hands-on work.

You don't necessarily need previous experience in the foam industry. Candidates with experience operating CNC machinery used for cutting glass, metal, plastics or timber, including experience in a joinery or manufacturing environment, may transition well into this role.

You'll ideally have:

• Forklift licence and experience
• Experience operating CNC machinery or similar manufacturing equipment
• The ability to read measurements, work orders and cutting lists
• Good attention to detail
• A strong commitment to workplace safety
• Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks
• A willingness to learn and assist across different areas of the facility
• A reliable and positive attitude
• Previous manufacturing or factory experience will be highly regarded
