About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Chemical Production Operator to join a specialised chemical manufacturing operation entering an exciting phase of development.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced operator who understands chemical production processes and wants to take on greater responsibility for daily operations, process improvement, and supporting junior colleagues.

Working alongside experienced technical specialists, you'll help preserve critical manufacturing know-how, strengthen production procedures, and support the site's future growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute and supervise chemical production processes, including sampling, material handling, in-process controls, and equipment cleaning.
• Coordinate daily operational activities, allocate tasks, and ensure effective shift handovers.
• Monitor process parameters, identify deviations, and escalate quality or safety concerns.
• Review manufacturing records, logbooks, labels, and traceability documentation.
• Learn and document specialised manufacturing processes alongside experienced technical colleagues.
• Train and support junior operators, ensuring safe and consistent execution of procedures.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, chemical safety, and environmental requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, process optimisation, and production efficiency.

Requirements:

• Technical education in Chemistry, Chemical Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Ideally, 3+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, fine chemicals, specialty chemicals, API production, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong practical understanding of chemical production processes and hands-on operations.
• Knowledge of GMP, in-process controls, production documentation, and process safety.
• A structured, detail-oriented approach and the ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and the ability to support and guide colleagues.

Note: Direct pharmaceutical experience is not essential. Strong practical experience in chemical manufacturing and process operations is the priority.
