Production Operator

Job Summary

Jaewon America is seeking an Operator to support safe and efficient plant operations in Kokomo, Indiana. This role involves operating and monitoring industrial equipment and production processes, handling and transferring materials, preparing equipment for operation, monitoring process conditions, and performing equipment inspections and routine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the assigned duties, responsibilities may include:

• Prepare transfer areas and equipment including required PPE, hoses, fitting, tools, and spare parts
• Preform tank loading and unloading operations for ISO tankers, tanker trucks, drums and IBCs
• Connect, transfer, and disconnect products according to established procedures.
• Start up and shut down pumps and other transfer equipment as required
• Monitor transfer operations, field instruments and process conditions
• Maintain ISO tankers, transfer equipment, utility systems, and tank farm areas
• Perform equipment inspections, preventive maintenance activities and minor repairs
• Operate production lines during startup and shutdown to meet company objectives and production targets
• Monitor process parameters, including flow rates, pressure, temperature, and levels using control systems and trend data
• Communicate with field operators to coordinate process adjustments
• Report process abnormalities, equipment faults, safety incidents, and operational concerns
• Assist with troubleshooting operational issues and identifying corrective actions
• Follow standard operating procedures, safety requirements, emergency response protocols and applicable regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Manager or Supervisor

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Previous experience in manufacturing, productions, or plant environment is preferred
• A valid drivers license is required
• Strong safety awareness and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to follow written standard operating procedures, technical documents and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify process abnormalities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and participate in ongoing training and development
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
• Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods

Compensation

Starting pay is $19.50 per hour with opportunities to earn more as you gain experience
