Production Operator

Nature’s Best is an Australian owned importer, exporter, manufacturer and wholesaler of stockfeed, pet foods and pet supplies for the pet market.

We are seeking a hardworking, reliable, enthusiastic and hands on person to join our production team in Legana, Tasmania.

We are looking for someone who wants a stable, long term position with a view to further their experience, skill set, and personal attributes within our business.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Previous manufacturing/production experience preferred but not essential
• Physically fit and able to handle products up to 20kg
• Current Forklift License
• Reliable, punctual and safety conscious
• A positive, productive attitude and good work ethics
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a small team
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to detect and resolve problems
• Self motivated and the ability to work unsupervised and self-manage daily tasks
• Flexibility to work additional hours if required

Duties will include:

• Ensure that all WH&S (Workplace, Health & Safety) policies and general procedures are adhered to.
• Actively establish, contribute to, and maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Maintain complete and accurate records as required.
• Demonstrate sound communication, literacy, and numeracy skills.
• Ensure that the products manufactured, and the duties performed are of a high standard and quality.
• Participate in staff training to increase their knowledge of operational policies to ensure best practice manufacturing.
• Be able to operate all types of machinery on site, including forklifts.
• Capable of operating Visual Display Units (touchscreens) and possess basic computing skills.

The successful applicant may be required to work on alternating shifts (morning and afternoon) as required and ideally be available for immediate start.
