Description:
Production Operator - Packaging

Gage Roads Brewery, Palmyra WA

Aussie drinkers keep backing Aussie-owned brands, and we're the busiest we've ever been. We're expanding our packaging team to help get beer into every pub, club and stadium in the country and we want people who take pride in getting it right, shift after shift.

Starting on casual, full-time hours (38 hours a week), with several permanent roles available due to production demand. You'll rotate through a 3-week shift cycle covering day, afternoon and night shifts, and you'll be trained across the full packaging operation — filling, labelling, palletising, forklifts, quality and cleaning — with pay that grows as your skills do. Across our roster patterns, the minimum annualised earnings for the role will be $70,727.

Skills and Experiences:
The Role

  • Operate packaging machinery across keg, bottle and can lines to meet production targets
  • Support line start-ups, shutdowns and changeovers
  • Conduct quality checks and complete QC, changeover and handover documentation
  • Maintain safety, hygiene and housekeeping standards in your work area
  • Work closely with Brewing, Warehouse and Quality teams

All about you

  • Strong communication skills and a team player
  • Physically fit, reliable and safety conscious
  • Available for the full 3-week rotating roster

Bonus points for experience in beverage packaging, brewing or FMCG manufacturing, mechanical aptitude, a high-risk forklift licence, or a first-aid certificate.

The shift pattern

You'll need to be available for our full 3-week roster, 40 hours a week, on rotation:

  • Week 1: Day shift, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, Mon–Fri
  • Week 2: Afternoon shift, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, Sun–Thu
  • Week 3: Night shift, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM, Sun–Thu
