Production Operator / Labourer (START TOMORROW)

About our client

Our client is a well-established food manufacturing business based in Heatherton, VIC, specialising in the production of food ingredients, blends and mixes supplied to the meat processing industry.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Machine Operator to join their production team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with food manufacturing experience who is comfortable operating machinery and performing manual handling tasks

About the Role:

• Monday to Friday, ongoing work

• Day shift: 2 pm to 10 pm | $38.93 per hour + Super

• Long-term ongoing work with a view to permanency

• Based in Heatherton, VIC

Duties:

• Operating and monitoring mixing machinery
• Preparing and assembling ingredients for production
• Loading ingredients into mixing equipment
• Manually handling and tipping bags weighing up to 25kg
• Operating the scaling machine as required
• Rotating between machine operating, sealing, filling and packing duties
• Following production recipes, procedures and specifications
• Ensuring products are prepared accurately and to required standards
• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements
• Maintaining a clean and organised production area

About you:

• Has full working rights in Australia
• Previous food manufacturing experience
• Experience operating production machinery is highly regarded
• Comfortable with manual handling and lifting up to 25kg
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on production environment
• Has reliable transport and a valid driver's licence
• Reliable, punctual and committed to ongoing work
• Has a strong can-do attitude
