Production Operator / Machine Operator

About the role

You’ll be joining a leading food manufacturer in Mount Maunganui as a Production Operator, playing an essential part in keeping the production line running smoothly. The role involves operating key machinery safely and efficiently to help produce high‑quality food products. The position follows a rotating roster of two day shifts, two night shifts, followed by four days off, offering a balanced work pattern.

What you'll be doing

• Operate and monitor production equipment to manufacture a range of food products
• Ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently met
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
• Follow all safety and hygiene protocols to maintain a safe and compliant work environment
• Work collaboratively with the production team to optimise workflow and drive continuous improvement
• Maintain detailed records and documentation as required

• Previous experience in a food manufacturing or production environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate production equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required
