What they need

The textile production operator is responsible for running various automated and semi-automated machinery across the production floor. You will ensure consistent product quality, minimize material waste, and quickly switch between different machine setups based on the daily production plan.

1. Machine Operation & Setup

  • Multi-Machine Operation: Run and monitor diverse textile machinery, which may include spinning frames, weaving looms, knitting machines, dyeing equipment, or finishing ranges.
  • Parameter Adjustment: Program machine settings such as speed, tension, temperature, and feed rates based on the technical specifications of the textile batch.
  • Component Replenishment: Load raw materials, spools, bobbins, or chemical dyes into machines, and replace empty cones or beams promptly.

2. Quality Control & In-Process Inspection

  • Defect Detection: Visually inspect moving fabric or yarn for defects, broken threads, knots, color variations, or uneven weaving.
  • Knotting & Repair: Manually piece together broken yarn or thread ends using standard knots or mechanical splicing tools to restart stopped machines quickly.
  • Testing: Snip and collect fabric samples for weight, thickness, strength, or color-fastness testing as required by quality standards.

3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • First-Line Troubleshooting: Identify the root cause of minor machine malfunctions, jams, or tension issues and make immediate mechanical adjustments.
  • Routine Maintenance: Clean lint, dust, and oil buildup from needles, hooks, and filters to maintain optimal machine performance.
  • Escalation: Report major mechanical breakdowns or persistent fabric defects to the maintenance technicians and production supervisors.
