What they need

Production Packaging Quality Technician — Arrow International

Picture starting your shift with a clear set of instructions and a workstation ready to go. You’ll move between inspecting, counting, scanning, and packing so that every order that leaves our floor is accurate, secure, and up to our standards.

A day in this role

You’ll begin by reviewing written and verbal work instructions, then dive into product checks—looking for correct patterns, confirming the required random assortment, and catching anything that’s not quite right. As orders progress, you’ll count and group matching sets, verify that labels and tags are spot-on, and keep a close eye on quality.

Next, you’ll fold and assemble boxes, insert the required literature, and pack products using established procedures. Throughout, you’ll complete scanning and quality-control checks to document accuracy at each step. Tools and materials are used with care, and you’ll promptly report any equipment issues, defective materials, or unusual conditions to a supervisor. A clean, orderly space and strict adherence to safety procedures keep everything running smoothly. And when priorities shift, you’re ready—performing other duties as assigned.

What you bring

  • Sharp attention to detail while inspecting, counting, labeling, and packing products.
  • Comfort following written and verbal instructions and established packing procedures.
  • Consistency and focus to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
  • A team-first mindset grounded in quality and safety.

Physical realities of the job

  • Lift and move boxes weighing 2–30 pounds, with an average of approximately 12 pounds.
  • Lift boxes from the production line to mid-chest or shoulder height.
  • Perform approximately 80 lifts of a 12-pound box during a typical eight-hour shift.
  • Use both hands for repetitive grasping, handling, assembling, scanning, and packing—about 4,800 grasping motions in a typical eight-hour shift.
  • Rotate among box assembly, scanning and quality checks, packing, and lifting tasks.

Why this work matters

Every carton you prepare represents a customer counting on Arrow International. Your precision ensures that products arrive complete, correctly assorted, and ready for use.
