Production Packer

Overview
We are looking for a part-time employee to work for one of the oldest local businesses in Port Washington. A Production Packer plays a vital role in ensuring our products are safely and efficiently packaged for distribution. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute directly to the quality and delivery of our retail & wholesale products. As a Production Packer, you will be integral to maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the packaging process, supporting our mission to deliver excellence to our customers.

Duties

• Prepare packaging materials and assemble product packages with precision and care
• Operate packaging machinery and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure smooth workflow
• Conduct quality check on product.
• Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform routine maintenance
• Safely move products and packaging supplies into coolers & freezers.
• Follow strict safety protocols while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the packing area
• Assist in assembly tasks as needed to support production flow and meet daily targets

Requirements

• Prior experience in meat market environments preferred, with a focus on packaging or assembly roles
• Ability to utilize equipment (i.e., knives, vacuum machine, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate packing and compliance with safety standards
• Physical stamina to stand, lift, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts.
• Ability to lift 30-50 lbs of product.
• Ability to go in and out of cold environments (i.e., freezers, coolers, etc.)

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
