Production Pharmacist

About the role

We are seeking a results-driven Production Pharmacist Executive to oversee all manufacturing operations at our non-sterile pharmaceutical plant. In this critical leadership role, you will plan, direct, and control daily production to ensure all products are manufactured safely and efficiently, in strict compliance with cGMP standards, local regulatory guidelines, and company quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor all pharmaceutical production processes to ensure compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards and relevant regulations
• Review and approve batch records, manufacturing procedures and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications
• Manage deviations and non-conformances, investigating root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions
• Liaise with the quality assurance team to ensure all products meet regulatory requirements and internal quality standards
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, batch manufacturing and quality assurance data
• Provide technical guidance and support to production staff on manufacturing procedures and protocol adherence
• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations, including those set by relevant regulatory authorities
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimise production efficiency and product quality
• Assist in training and mentoring production personnel on best practices and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a related pharmaceutical science discipline
• Valid pharmaceutical license and registration with the relevant regulatory body
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical production or manufacturing environments
• In-depth knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP)standards and pharmaceutical regulations
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical chemistry, formulation and quality control principles
• Experience with batch record reviews, documentation and regulatory compliance procedures
• Proficiency in quality management systems and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Problem-solving capabilities and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Computer literacy and experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing software systems (desirable)
• Knowledge of Malaysian pharmaceutical regulations and requirements is highly valued
