PRODUCTION PLANNER

About the role

We are seeking a Production Planner to plan and coordinate production activities to ensure customer orders are completed on time, efficiently, and according to production capacity. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, detail-oriented, and able to coordinate effectively across multiple departments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and demand.
• Coordinate production schedules according to capacity, manpower, materials, machine availability, and delivery requirements.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to minimize delays and production disruptions.
• Coordinate closely with Production, Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, Quality, and Engineering teams.
• Ensure raw materials and components are available according to the production schedule.
• Monitor production orders, work orders, inventory levels, and material requirements.
• Identify potential capacity, material, or delivery constraints and take timely corrective action.
• Follow up on production status and communicate changes or delays to relevant departments.
• Maintain accurate production planning records and prepare relevant reports.
• Support forecasting, capacity planning, and production performance analysis.

Key Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in production planning, production control, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience in manufacturing/production planning is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling.
• Good understanding of MRP, inventory control, capacity planning, and production processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with data analysis is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Good communication skills and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage.
