Production Planner

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join Dindings Poultry Development Centre Sdn. Bhd. in Lumut, Perak. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in optimising our production operations and ensuring efficient scheduling of our poultry production facilities. As Production Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing resources, and liaising between departments to meet production targets whilst maintaining quality standards. This role is integral to our operational success and directly impacts our ability to deliver consistent output to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and available capacity
• Monitor production workflows and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines and minimise delays
• Forecast production requirements and coordinate with inventory to ensure adequate materials and resources are available
• Collaborate with operations, quality assurance, and sales teams to ensure seamless production execution
• Analyse production data and identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains
• Manage production documentation and maintain accurate records of scheduling decisions and outcomes
• Respond to production issues and implement corrective actions to minimise disruption
• Report on production performance metrics and provide recommendations to senior management
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the production process
• Perform any other tasks and assignments as directed by the management from time to time.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar role within manufacturing or logistics environments
• Strong knowledge of production planning systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis and forecasting
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments
• Understanding of supply chain and inventory management principles
• Experience in the poultry or food production industry is highly desirable
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Diploma or degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred
