Production Planner

Production Planner | Boroughbridge, York | Full Time | 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:00 – 17:00, with an early finish on Friday, 8:00 – 14:30 | Salary DOE

We are looking for a Production Planner to join our team.

Aaztec Washrooms produces cubicles, washrooms, vanity units, and lockers, all built onsite in Boroughbridge and recently acquired Taplanes, a modular bathroom company.

The successful applicant would work closely with production and our customers, delivering our high-quality products to a wide range of organisations, including schools, sports and leisure centres, healthcare centres, and entertainment facilities.

This is a newly created role due to business expansion, providing a great opportunity for the right candidate to take ownership of key processes within the business.

Key Resposibilities

• Develop and maintain the weekly production plan to optimise output, working closely with the production supervisor to ensure planned works are delivered on schedule.

• Liaising with external fabricators, ensuring works are completed on time and that quality processes are completed.

• Identify potential issues before they affect production or deliveries and take appropriate action to resolve them.

• Maintain accurate records of operational information, including delivery calendar, production schedule and order progress sheet.

• Plan and coordinate customer deliveries with both internal and external drivers and vehicles.

• Liase with the production supervisor through the week and adjust the production and transport schedules when required.

• Prepare delivery notes and associated documentation and ensure accurate records are kept in Sage.

• Work closely with the Sales Team to ensure all delivery information is correct before dispatch.

• Maintain and confirm accurate customer and site details, including site restrictions, delivery conditions, unloading requirements and any other information that could affect delivery.

• Manage the scheduling and completion of general company maintenance, including machine service and repairs and legally required health and safety maintenance, such as roller shutter door servicing.

• Manage the vehicle maintenance schedule, including booking servicing, repairs and MOTs and maintaining internal records.

• Coordinate with customers and internal teams when delivery plans change.

Required Skills

• Excellent organization and planning skills.

• Strong attention to detail

• The ability to manage multiple priorities and changing requirements.

• Good communication skills and the confidence to speak with customers, suppliers, contractors and internal staff.

• Good IT skills, especially with Excel. Experience with Sage is desirable.

• The ability to work independently and to use initiative when problems arise.

• Experience of managing a fleet or production schedule would be advantageous.
