PRODUCTION PLANNER

About the role

The Production Planner develops, maintains, and optimizes production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and capacity. This role involves coordinating with procurement, monitoring production progress, analyzing demand trends, and collaborating with production supervisors to ensure efficient operations and compliance with company policies and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and capacity
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays, equipment breakdowns, or material shortages
• Analyze demand trends, inventory levels, and lead times to prevent overproduction or stockouts
• Collaborate with production supervisors to balance workload and resource allocation
• Prepare and present production status reports to management
• Identify process bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning and supply chain efficiency

About you

• Proven experience as a Production Planner, Scheduler, or in a similar supply chain/operations role
• Strong knowledge of production planning, inventory management, and ERP/MRP systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other planning tools/software
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
• Familiarity with ISO/quality management systems
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
