REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

FLSA STATUS: HOURLY, NON-EXEMPT

The Production Planner is responsible for coordinating and scheduling production activities to ensure efficient manufacturing operations, on-time delivery, and accurate production documentation. This role serves as a key link between Engineering and Production by converting engineering releases into actionable work orders, production schedules, and shop floor documentation.

DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES

:

1. Exercise and oversee the printing and checking the BOMs, sales orders, and work orders after release from Engineering. Inputting the necessary information on the production master schedule using the manufacturing capacity worksheets and BOMs. Creating all work orders as specified on the master schedule. Building the individual schedules for each work center and delivery of the schedule to the shop floor.
2. Process shop floor changes using the appropriate procedures to provide proper documentation to production as required.
3. Perform all tasks associated within the production department using Visual, Excel, Word, and Outlook, among others.
4. Produce all forms of documentation from engineering releases for production use for all product codes, i.e. spiral turns, flat turns, angle flow conveyors, straight conveyors, spiral lifts, chute master chutes, etc. This requires working knowledge of Visual and BOMs.
5. Process replacement part orders to the extent of providing production with proper documentation.
6. As required act as the primary trainer for new personnel assigned to the department.
7. Act as temporary supervisor during the manager’s absence.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Possess and display Interroll’s Growth Performance Culture at all times: Customer, Execute Excellence, People, Accountability and Global Collaboration.
2. Posses at least (1) year of strong SAP experience.
3. Possess (2) year College Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
4. Possess at least two years’ experience in manufacturing with an emphasis in production control or scheduling.
5. Working knowledge of the principles and procedures in a manufacturing engineering environment using MRP and/or ERP systems.
6. Working knowledge of standard office equipment, Excel and Access spreadsheets, and word processing tools.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position requires constant standing, use of hands and fingers and eye-hand coordination. This position requires frequent reaching with hands and arms, and occasionally sitting, walking, talking, hearing, and turning or bending at waist. Incumbent must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Good close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well depth perception and the ability to see colors and adjust focus are required.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. This position works indoors in a manufacturing (warehouse) environment.Must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold. This position is occasionally exposed oil, grease or dirt, and to the risk of electrical shock. A loud noise level is typical for the work environment of this job. Wearing the proper PPE (protective eyewear, ear plugs and steel-toed shoes) is a requirement in most areas of this facility.
