Production Planner (Mechanist)

• To effectively plan, understand and interpret machining processes, their subsequent treatments and associated costs.
• The incumbent will act as a direct point of contact between the machining suppliers and PAS regarding all technical requirements.

Key Performance Areas/Accountabilities/High level functions

· Manage and control various machining subcontractors, ensuring their work is done in accordance with the required quality standard

· Attend MRBs to support decisions on salvaging of parts / rework

· Compile the BOM and obtain material quotations

· Source quotations from various machining houses

· Prioritise work in line with the programme requirements

· Use ARAS for all technical / configuration management

· Use Navision to ensure all production orders are placed and maintained

· Work closely with all relevant departments to make the project a success

· Give regular feedback on the progress of parts, i.e. delivery schedule versus aircraft build plan / schedule

· Give input to design as required to ensure cost-effective and producible machining

Pay: R5,00 - R10,00 per month
