Production Planning & control

Job Summary

We are looking for a PPC Engineer/Executive responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring production activities to ensure timely delivery, optimum utilization of resources, and smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer requirements and production capacity.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, and Dispatch departments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Monitor production progress against planned targets and take necessary follow-up actions.
• Prepare and maintain production schedules, work orders, and PPC reports.
• Ensure availability of raw materials, components, manpower, machines, and tools as per the production plan.
• Monitor WIP (Work in Progress) and finished goods status.
• Identify production delays, bottlenecks, and material shortages and coordinate with relevant departments for resolution.
• Maintain production planning records and prepare MIS reports for management.
• Coordinate with the shop floor to ensure production priorities are followed as per the plan.
• Support inventory control and material planning to avoid shortages and excess inventory.
• Read and understand engineering/manufacturing drawings and production specifications.
• Should have good knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and be able to understand dimensions, tolerances and drawing requirements.
• Coordinate with the Quality and Production teams to ensure components are manufactured as per drawing and customer requirements.
• Follow up on rework, rejection, and corrective actions affecting production schedules.
• Contribute to improving production efficiency, delivery performance, and resource utilization.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of Production Planning & Control (PPC).
• Knowledge of production scheduling and shop-floor coordination.
• Good knowledge of engineering drawing reading.
• Knowledge of GD&T, dimensional tolerances, and drawing symbols.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and preferably ERP/MRP systems.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
