Production Planning and Control Engineer

Purpose of the Role : To plan, coordinate, monitor, and control production activities to ensure timely execution of manufacturing orders with optimum utilization of resources, minimum WIP, and adherence to delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Planning, Scheduling & capacity loading across departments.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales orders.
• Issue production schedules to fabrication, machining, assembly, and painting shops.
• Coordinate with shop floor supervisors for execution as per plan.
• Track progress and resolve production bottlenecks.
• Ensure smooth material and process flow between departments.
• Material Planning & Control
• Check material availability against production plans & coordinate for material availability
• Monitor WIP for minimum WIP stocks at any given time to implement JIT concept
• Ensure adherence to committed delivery dates.
• Update dispatch status to sales/customer service.
• Track daily production output vs plan.
• Highlight deviations and propose corrective actions.
• Support production efficiency and lead time reduction initiatives.
