Production Planning

About the role

This role involves planning and controlling production operations to ensure alignment with purchase orders and delivery schedules. The position requires coordinating across multiple departments, monitoring production progress, and managing resources to meet production targets efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Develop production plans aligned with purchase orders and delivery schedules
• Prioritise production work based on urgency and delivery requirements
• Review and adjust production plans according to operational conditions and production capacity
• Align production planning with machinery, personnel, and available resources
• Monitor and update production status against established plans
• Verify readiness of raw materials, packaging, and resources before production
• Coordinate with procurement and warehouse departments to ensure material availability
• Track production progress against plans and delivery deadlines
• Identify variances between planned and actual production and implement adjustments
• Prepare and maintain production plans, schedules, and status reports

About you

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Food Technology, Food Science, Industrial Management, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Production Planning, Production Control, or Production Coordination
• Understanding of production processes and production planning
• Knowledge of Material Planning, Capacity Planning, and Inventory Management applicable to planning
• Ability to analyse and prioritise work, and resolve immediate problems effectively
• Strong coordination skills and ability to work across multiple departments
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP or production planning systems is advantageous
• Attention to detail with ability to track and manage large volumes of data
• Ability to work under pressure and within tight timeframes
• Responsible, proactive, and able to work as part of a team
