Production Planning Specialist

I. PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Production Planning Specialist coordinates and optimizes production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and resource availability. This role ensures efficient manufacturing operations and timely product delivery in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

SPECIFIC SKILLS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develop and maintain production plans and schedules aligned with sales forecasts and inventory targets.

· Coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement teams to ensure material availability and production readiness.

· Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays, shortages, or changes in demand.

· Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements.

· Maintain accurate records of production plans, capacity utilization, and inventory movements.

· Support new product launches and promotional activities with aligned production timelines.

· Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth flow of finished goods.

· Prepare reports and dashboards for management review and decision-making.

· Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.

II. JOB SPECIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

· At least 3–5 years of experience in production planning or manufacturing operations, preferably in FMCG.

· Strong understanding of production processes, inventory management, and supply chain coordination.

· Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and planning tools.

· Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Good communication and teamwork abilities.
