Production QC Inspector

About the role

This role involves conducting quality inspections throughout the fertilizer production process, from raw materials through to finished products. You will collect samples, verify production formulas and packaging specifications, identify non-conforming materials, and maintain accurate records to ensure product quality and batch traceability.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections throughout the fertilizer production process
• Collect samples of raw materials, work-in-process (WIP) materials, and finished products according to established sampling procedures
• Submit production samples to the laboratory for testing and maintain accurate sampling records
• Verify production formulas, raw material batches, and material usage against approved production instructions
• Inspect fertilizer granule size, appearance, colour, dust level, moisture content, and product uniformity
• Verify packaging weight, packaging bags, product labels, batch numbers, production dates, bag stitching, and pallet conditions
• Identify, label, and segregate non-conforming raw materials, work-in-process materials, and finished products
• Immediately report any quality abnormalities to the QA & QC Manager
• Work closely with the Production Department to investigate quality issues and follow up on corrective actions
• Complete Production QC Inspection Reports, sampling records, packaging-weight records, and non-conformance reports accurately

About you

• Minimum qualification of SPM or STPM
• Diploma in Chemistry, Science, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field is an advantage
• At least one year of experience in QC, production, chemical, fertilizer, or manufacturing is preferred
• Fresh graduates with a responsible attitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
• Willing and able to work on rotating shifts, including night shifts
• Comfortable working in a factory and production environment
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to identify and report quality issues promptly
• Able to perform basic calculations and complete inspection records accurately
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
• Able to communicate and work effectively with Production, Warehouse, and Laboratory personnel
