A production shift needs more than supervision — it needs ownership.

Lead the team, manage the challenges and deliver the results.

We are looking for an experienced Production Shift Coordinator to coordinate and monitor day-to-day production activities during assigned shifts. The role will be responsible for ensuring smooth production execution by coordinating manpower, materials, machines, documentation, quality requirements, and cross-functional activities.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable managing production operations while ensuring adherence to GMP, SOPs, safety standards, quality requirements, and production targets.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate shift-wise production activities as per the approved production plan and schedule.
• Allocate manpower across production activities and ensure optimum utilization of available resources.
• Monitor manufacturing, filling, packing, and other assigned production operations.
• Ensure availability of required raw materials, packaging materials, equipment, and other production resources.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Warehouse, Engineering/Maintenance, Production Planning, and other departments for smooth production execution.
• Monitor production output, downtime, wastage, rejections, and process-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with approved SOPs, GMP guidelines, batch documents, and safety practices.
• Ensure proper completion of production-related records, checklists, batch records, and shift reports.
• Identify operational issues during the shift and coordinate timely corrective actions with the concerned departments.
• Ensure proper housekeeping, hygiene, PPE compliance, and safe working practices on the shop floor.
• Monitor production progress against planned targets and highlight deviations or delays to the reporting authority.
• Conduct effective shift handovers by communicating production status, pending activities, breakdowns, quality issues, and other critical information.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to productivity, process efficiency, manpower utilization, wastage reduction, and downtime reduction.

Qualification:

• B.Sc. / B.Pharm / B.Tech / equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Production/Manufacturing Operations.
• Experience in Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical, FMCG, Personal Care, or related manufacturing industries will be preferred.
• Prior experience in shift coordination, production supervision, or production operations is preferred.
