What they need

Studio Manager

Origin Studios LLC | Las Vegas, Nevada

Role Purpose

The Studio Manager is responsible for the successful day-to-day operation of Origin Studios, including client experience, staff leadership, studio operations, production quality, workflow completion, facility readiness, and financial performance.

This is a hands-on leadership position. The Studio Manager is expected to lead the team while also being capable of stepping into production, troubleshooting, client service, post-production, or other operational responsibilities when needed.

The goal of the position is for normal studio operations to run successfully without requiring owner involvement, while keeping ownership informed of important issues, opportunities, and decisions.

Primary Responsibilities

Clients & Business Performance

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for existing studio clients.
  • Maintain strong client satisfaction and proactively address complaints or concerns.
  • Focus on client retention, repeat bookings, increased utilization, upselling existing clients, and
  • identifying new sales opportunities.
  • Monitor studio revenue, utilization, refunds, client retention, and other key business metrics.
  • Help the studio achieve seasonal revenue and utilization goals.

Staff Leadership

  • Directly supervise studio staff.
  • Manage scheduling, coverage, training, coaching, performance, and accountability.
  • Develop employees so they can confidently and consistently operate the studios.
  • Make recommendations regarding hiring, termination, compensation, and staffing needs.
  • Build a professional, supportive, accountable team culture.

Studio & Production Operations

  • Ensure Studios A, B, and C are clean, prepared, properly staffed, and technically ready for every session.
  • Be capable of personally operating studio productions when necessary, including cameras, audio, switching, streaming, remote guests, recording, and related systems.
  • Maintain high production standards and minimize preventable technical or operational failures.
  • Investigate recording failures, missing content, hardware problems, and recurring production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain equipment readiness, inventory, supplies, security, cleanliness, and facility standards.

Workflow & Delivery

  • Ensure recorded projects move through the Progress Tracker and production workflow within
  • established timeframes.
  • Prevent jobs from becoming unnecessarily stale or overdue.
  • Coordinate post-production and delivery requirements.
  • Personally assist with editing, processing, troubleshooting, or delivery when necessary to keep work moving.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automation, efficiency, client experience, staff
  • performance, utilization, and operating costs.
  • Complete agreed quarterly Growth & Development objectives.
  • Work with ownership on longer-term operational improvements and new initiatives.
  • New services, major strategic changes, and significant business initiatives require ownership approval.

Decision Authority

The Studio Manager has day-to-day authority over:

  • Staff scheduling and coverage
  • Studio operations
  • Client service and issue resolution
  • Routine refunds and credits
  • Maintenance coordination
  • Production decisions
  • Workflow priorities
  • Training and employee coaching
  • Routine operational decisions

Ownership retains final authority over:

  • Hiring and termination
  • Compensation
  • Pricing
  • Major purchases
  • Vendors and vendor agreements
  • Contracts
  • New services
  • Major refunds or financial exceptions
  • Long-term strategy

The Studio Manager should be consulted on these decisions and expected to provide recommendations based on their operational knowledge.

Performance Measurement

Performance will primarily be evaluated through four Studio Manager KPIs:

Client Retention & Experience — 35%

Are clients staying, returning, and satisfied?

Revenue & Utilization — 30%

Is the studio achieving its seasonally adjusted revenue and utilization goals?

Operational Excellence — 25%

Are sessions running reliably and professionally, and is work being completed on time?

Growth & Development — 10%

Is the manager measurably improving the studio each quarter?

Supporting measurements may include client, guest, and staff satisfaction surveys; clean-session performance; workflow completion; financial performance; utilization; retention; and quarterly development objectives.

Company and team fit are also important expectations of the role and may be reflected through staff satisfaction, leadership feedback, retention, and overall team performance.

Schedule & Expectations

This is a full-time salaried management position, generally operating Monday through Friday. Hours and schedule may need to shift based on productions, client needs, events, staffing requirements, or other business demands.

The Studio Manager reports to ownership and is expected to independently manage normal studio operations while escalating unusual, high-impact, strategic, or financially significant matters.

Success in this role means the studio runs smoothly, clients want to stay, employees know what is expected of them, productions are reliable, work gets completed on time, financial goals are being achieved, and the operation continues to improve without requiring ownership to manage the day-to-day business.
