Production Supervisor - 2nd shift

Daechang Seat Corp. USA (DSC) is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to join our automotive manufacturing team in Phenix City, Alabama.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for the safety, quality, productivity, and performance of an assigned production area. We are looking for a leader who is comfortable on the manufacturing floor, can hold a team accountable, solve problems quickly, and work across departments to keep production running safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

· Lead and supervise 2nd shift production employees to achieve daily safety, quality, production, and delivery goals.

· Provide clear direction, coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.

· Monitor production performance and respond quickly to downtime, quality concerns, staffing issues, and other production challenges.

· Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Materials, Engineering, and other departments to support production requirements.

· Ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications.

· Enforce company safety policies, procedures, PPE requirements, and safe work practices.

· Monitor employee attendance, performance, productivity, and adherence to company policies.

· Identify bottlenecks and opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, and workflow.

· Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for production and quality issues.

· Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports related to performance, efficiency, quality, and other key metrics.

· Promote a positive, respectful, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.

· Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Perform other duties as needed to support plant operations.

What We’re Looking For

· 3+ years of supervisory or production leadership experience.

· 5+ years of manufacturing experience; automotive manufacturing preferred.

· Demonstrated ability to lead hourly manufacturing employees in a fast-paced production environment.

· Strong understanding of production processes, scheduling, quality, inventory, and manufacturing operations.

· Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to address employee performance and accountability issues professionally and consistently.

· Ability to analyze production data, identify trends, and take corrective action.

· Working knowledge of manufacturing safety requirements and safe work practices.

· Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, or other continuous improvement methods.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using manufacturing systems such as ERP or MES.

Additional Experience We’d Love to See

· Automotive OEM, Tier 1, or Tier 2 manufacturing experience.

· MES and/or SAP experience.

· Experience with automated manufacturing equipment, robotics, or welding operations.

· Experience working with production KPIs, downtime, scrap, quality, efficiency, and OEE.

· Lean, Six Sigma, or other manufacturing/continuous improvement training or certification.

A college degree is not required for this position. We value demonstrated manufacturing knowledge, leadership ability, and relevant hands-on experience.

Schedule

This is a full-time, 2nd shift position. The Production Supervisor must have the flexibility to work approximately 8–10 hours per day and adjust working hours based on production and business needs.

The position works primarily in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
