Production Supervisor （Chemicals）

Duties and Responsibilities:

Production Management & Operations

• Lead and oversee all production department activities to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations.
• Develop, coordinate, and execute production plans to meet business objectives, customer requirements, and delivery schedules.
• Establish, implement, monitor, and continuously improve production policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Manage production processes and workflows to ensure compliance with established technical standards and manufacturing requirements.
• Review and approve production-related aspects of new product development projects and coordinate trial production activities.
• Supervise daily production operations to achieve productivity, quality, safety, and cost-efficiency targets.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, optimize resource utilization, and reduce waste and scrap rates.
• Ensure effective implementation of company production strategies, policies, and operational objectives.
• Oversee the maintenance, servicing, and proper functioning of production equipment and facilities.
• Prepare and submit accurate production reports and performance metrics in a timely manner.
• Support inventory stock-taking activities in collaboration with Warehouse and Finance teams.

Team Leadership & Workforce Development

• Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate production personnel to ensure high performance and operational excellence.
• Promote professionalism, accountability, and quality awareness among production employees.
• Collaborate closely with the Quality Department to ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality standards.
• Foster effective communication and coordination within the department and across cross-functional teams.
• Address and resolve production-related concerns, feedback, and complaints from employees and other departments.

Quality Management, Compliance & Audits

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements and company quality policies.
• Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Coordinate and facilitate internal audits, external certification audits, customer audits, and surveillance audits.
• Lead audit preparation activities, ensure readiness of production documentation and records, and coordinate responses to audit findings.
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) arising from audit observations and non-conformities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory, regulatory, and customer requirements related to manufacturing operations.
• Monitor production quality performance and implement initiatives to improve product quality, process capability, and customer satisfaction.

Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) & Regulatory Compliance

• Working closely with warehouse personnel to oversee factory safety activities to ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment.
• Implement and enforce workplace safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections of production areas, machinery, equipment, fire prevention systems, and safety facilities.
• Organize and coordinate periodic fire drills and emergency response exercises.
• Identify workplace hazards and implement programs to improve occupational safety, health, and environmental conditions.
• Ensure employees receive appropriate safety training, education, and certification as required by regulations.
• Liaise with relevant government agencies and regulatory authorities during inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
• Coordinate and support audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance reviews conducted by local authorities, including occupational safety, environmental, fire safety, and other applicable government agencies.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of production operations management, with the ability to oversee and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in production planning and scheduling, efficiency improvement, cost control, and quality management.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English
• Physically fit and able to work in a manufacturing/production environment while adhering to all safety requirements and procedures.
