Production Supervisor

Responsibilities:

Job Description

• Supervise and control daily production operations to ensure they are carried out according to the production plan.
• Manage and lead the production team by assigning tasks, preparing work schedules, and ensuring efficient workforce utilization.
• Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with the company's quality standards.
• Track production performance (Productivity), reduce waste, and resolve production line issues promptly.
• Oversee the efficient use of raw materials, machinery, and production equipment.
• Coordinate with cross-functional departments, including Production Planning, Warehouse, Purchasing, Engineering, and QC/QA.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards such as GMP, HACCP, ISO, or other applicable food safety systems.
• Analyze production issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Prepare production reports, summarize operational performance, and report issues and improvement plans to management.
• Train, coach, and develop production team members to improve their skills and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in production supervision or manufacturing operations; prior supervisory experience is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and solve operational problems effectively.
• Solid knowledge of production processes, production planning, and productivity improvement techniques.
• Experience in bakery and chocolate manufacturing is required.
• Knowledge of food quality and safety standards such as GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, or BRC is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work rotating shifts and overtime when required.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively under pressure.
