Production Supervisor

About the role

Inno Detection Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team in Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to lead and oversee production operations within our assembly and process work environment. As Production Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. Your leadership will directly impact productivity levels, product quality, and team performance across our facility.

Key responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating daily production activities across assembly and process work areas to ensure targets and deadlines are met
• Monitoring production output, quality standards, and equipment performance to maintain operational efficiency
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the production facility
• Training, mentoring, and supporting production staff to enhance their skills and performance
• Identifying process improvements and implementing corrective actions to reduce waste and increase productivity
• Reporting on production metrics, incidents, and performance to senior management on a regular basis
• Maintaining accurate records of production data, maintenance schedules, and staff attendance
• Liaising with other departments including quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics to optimise workflows
• Managing inventory and materials to ensure adequate stock levels for continuous production

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
• Strong knowledge of assembly and process work operations, including understanding of production machinery and equipment
• Proven track record of successfully meeting production targets and maintaining quality standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, work instructions, and production specifications
• Competence in using production management software or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing environments
• Problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency
• Attention to detail with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Preferably, experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
• A relevant qualification in manufacturing, engineering, or operations management would be advantageous
