Production Supervisor

About the role

This role involves executing production plans based on sales orders and production schedules by effectively allocating manpower, equipment, and production resources to ensure on-time delivery of LED lighting products, including LED luminaires, panel lights, and outdoor lighting products. You will supervise daily production operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities

• Execute production plans based on sales orders and production schedules by effectively allocating manpower, equipment, and production resources to ensure on-time delivery of LED lighting products
• Supervise daily production operations to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process parameters
• Monitor critical manufacturing processes such as SMT, reflow soldering, assembly, aging tests, and packaging
• Ensure product quality throughout the production process by promoting in-process quality control, including self-inspection and cross-inspection practices
• Work closely with the Quality team to monitor key product characteristics such as colour temperature, luminous flux, dielectric withstand voltage, and other quality requirements
• Investigate and resolve production abnormalities and non-conforming products promptly
• Control production costs by monitoring the consumption of raw materials and components, including LED chips, LED drivers, aluminium PCBs, housings, and other production materials
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives by optimising production line balancing, workflow, and plant layout to eliminate bottlenecks, reduce waste, improve productivity, and maximise Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
• Ensure full compliance with workplace safety standards by implementing and maintaining 6S practices
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Process Engineering (PIE), Quality Assurance (QA), Warehouse, and Planning teams to achieve production targets and continuous operational improvement

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Management, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience in production supervision or manufacturing management, including at least 1 year in the LED lighting industry or electronics manufacturing environment
• Good knowledge of LED lighting manufacturing processes, including SMT, assembly, aging test, packaging, and production process control
• Familiar with lighting product quality standards such as IEC 60598, GB/T 24908, or equivalent international standards, and knowledgeable in lighting product safety requirements
