The opportunity

This is a key leadership role within our Production Hub. As Production Supervisor, you'll lead our production team to ensure our science resource kits are assembled accurately, efficiently, and to the high standards our customers expect.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll coordinate day-to-day production activities, support and develop team members, maintain quality standards, and help ensure production targets are achieved. You'll also play an important part in improving systems and processes as we continue to grow.

What you'll be responsible for

• Leading and supporting a team of Production Assistants
• Allocating work and coordinating daily production workflows
• Monitoring production output to ensure targets are achieved
• Maintaining quality standards through regular quality checks
• Training, coaching, and supporting team members
• Running team briefings and communicating priorities
• Championing health and safety practices across the production environment
• Maintaining accurate production, inventory, and job records
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and workflow
• Supporting the implementation of new systems, equipment, or processes
• Working closely with the Production Manager on production planning and priorities

About you

We're looking for someone who has:

• Proven experience leading, supervising, or coaching people
• Experience in a manufacturing, production, warehousing, assembly, or similar operational environment
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Experience allocating workflow, coordinating schedules, or managing production activities
• Confidence using systems for data entry, inventory management, record keeping, or job processing
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• A proactive approach to health and safety
• A positive, practical attitude and willingness to lead by example

The following would be advantageous:

• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
• Health and safety qualifications or formal training
• Experience implementing or supporting new systems and processes
• Experience providing performance feedback and developing team capability
