Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to required quality standards. The role involves supervising production operators, monitoring production performance, resolving operational issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities and manpower allocation.
• Ensure production targets, schedules, and output requirements are achieved.
• Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
• Allocate work to production operators and manage shift activities effectively.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, performance, and training needs of production staff.
• Ensure production is carried out according to approved work instructions, SOPs, and quality standards.
• Identify production problems, bottlenecks, machine issues, and process abnormalities, and take appropriate corrective action.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Engineering, and other departments to resolve production issues.
• Monitor raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, and production consumables.
• Ensure proper recording of production output, downtime, rejects, scrap, and other relevant production data.

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Previous supervisory or team-leadership experience is preferred.
• Good knowledge of production processes, quality control, and workplace safety.
• Familiarity with 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or continuous improvement is an advantage.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and people-management abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and production/SAP systems.
