Production Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join Epsilon Medical Devices Sdn Bhd in Kamunting, Perak. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing daily production operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical devices. As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading production teams, maintaining operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with stringent quality and safety standards. This role is integral to our manufacturing operations and directly impacts our ability to meet production targets and maintain our reputation for excellence in the medical device industry.

Key responsibilities

1. Supervise and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring all manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently
2. Monitor production output and quality standards, implementing corrective actions when necessary to meet targets and specifications
3. Lead, train and motivate production team members, providing clear direction and performance feedback
4. Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety on the production floor
5. Conduct regular equipment maintenance checks and coordinate repairs to minimise downtime
6. Manage inventory and materials, ensuring adequate stock levels for continuous production operations
7. Track and report on production metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process optimisations
8. Conduct inductions and on-the-job training for new production staff members
9. Maintain detailed records of production activities, quality audits and incident reports
10. Communicate effectively with other departments including quality assurance, maintenance and management

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in medical devices, pharmaceuticals or related regulated industries
2. Strong knowledge of production processes, manufacturing systems and quality management systems (such as ISO 13485 or equivalent)
3. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and manage production teams effectively
4. Excellent understanding of workplace health, safety and environmental compliance requirements
5. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications and standard operating procedures
6. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions
7. Experience with production planning, scheduling and resource allocation
8. Competency in using production management systems and data analysis tools
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
10. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards
11. Diploma or higher qualification in engineering, manufacturing or a related field is preferred
