Production Supervisor

Location: Sibu, Sarawak (Sawmill)

Responsibility:

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure production targets and schedules are achieved.
• Assign manpower and work duties according to production requirements and monitor workers’ performance throughout the shift.
• Monitor production processes, output, and product quality to ensure operations are carried out according to established requirements.
• Ensure sufficient materials, tools, and equipment are available to support continuous production operations.
• Identify and report production and quality issues, equipment problems, bottlenecks, and operational delays, and implement appropriate corrective actions in coordination with the Production Manager and relevant departments.
• Ensure workers follow company procedures, work instructions, quality requirements, and workplace safety regulations, while maintaining proper housekeeping within the production area.
• Conduct routine checks on machinery and equipment and identify potential problems or abnormalities.
• Supervise, train, and guide production workers in proper work procedures, machine operation, safety, and quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of daily production output, manpower, downtime, material usage, and other relevant production information, and submit reports to the Production Manager.
• Report significant production, machinery, quality, safety, and manpower issues to Management.
• Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirement:

• Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Wood Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant supervisory experience, preferably in sawmill, wood-processing, or similar environment.
• Strong supervisory, people management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good organisational, communication, teamwork, and computer skills.
• Willing to work in a sawmill environment (biomass wood pallets processing).
