PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

About the role

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily production activities to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to established quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities according to approved production plans and schedules
• Allocate manpower, machines, materials, and workstations to meet production requirements
• Monitor production progress and ensure production targets and delivery schedules are achieved
• Identify production bottlenecks, delays, and resource constraints and take corrective action
• Coordinate with Planning/Warehouse to ensure required materials are available for production
• Ensure production records and output quantities are accurately recorded
• Ensure production activities comply with approved work instructions, specifications, and quality standards
• Monitor production quality and coordinate with the Quality team to address defects and non-conformities
• Supervise, allocate, and monitor production operators and other production personnel
• Train employees on production procedures, work instructions, equipment operation, and safety requirements

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant manufacturing or production experience
• At least 1–2 years of supervisory or team-lead experience is preferred
• Hands-on experience in production operations, manpower planning, quality control, and production scheduling
• Experience with manufacturing systems, ERP/MES, or production reporting systems is an advantage
• Training or certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, occupational safety, or production management is an advantage
• Able to communicate in both English, Malay and Chinese
