Production Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join Indium Corporation (M) Sdn Bhd at our facility in Batu Kawan, Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in overseeing daily manufacturing operations and ensuring optimal production efficiency. As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading production teams, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that directly contribute to the company's operational excellence and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage production teams to ensure efficient execution of manufacturing schedules and targets
• Monitor production processes and equipment performance to maintain quality standards and minimize downtime
• Coordinate with planning and scheduling departments to optimize production workflows and resource allocation
• Conduct regular inspections of products and manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality specifications
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste
• Maintain accurate production records, reports and documentation in accordance with company procedures
• Provide training and guidance to production team members on safety protocols, procedures and best practices
• Respond to and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize production disruptions
• Liaise with maintenance teams to coordinate equipment repairs and preventative maintenance activities
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations within the production area

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a production supervision or manufacturing operations role
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling and manufacturing processes
• Proven track record of managing production teams and achieving operational targets
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and lead teams effectively
• Proficiency in using production management systems and data analysis tools
• Knowledge of quality control principles and ISO standards in manufacturing
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in manufacturing environments
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is advantageous
• Malaysian language proficiency is preferred for effective team communication

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
