Production Supervisor

We are looking for a hands-on and detailed-oriented Production Supervisor to oversee daily SMT and electronics manufacturing operations on the shop floor. The ideal candidate will supervise shift production, ensure smooth operation of SMT lines, maintain high quality standards, and drive shop-floor continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Line Operations & Execution: Supervise daily SMT line activities, execute production schedules to meet daily targets, and optimize line efficiency (OEE) and capacity utilization.
• SMT Technical Supervision: Oversee key SMT processes and equipment operations, including Solder Paste Inspection (SPI), Fuji placement machines, reflow soldering, AOI/X-Ray, ICT, Functional Testing (FFT), Conformal Coating, dispensing, and Burn-in testing.
• Shop-Floor Quality Control: Enforce ISO9001 and IATF16949 quality standards. Monitor First Pass Yield (FPY) and apply SPC (Statistical Process Control) for real-time defect prevention.
• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Promptly address line bottlenecks, equipment downtime, and quality anomalies. Conduct root-cause analysis using standard quality tools (8D reports, Fishbone diagrams, 5-Why method).
• Process & Standard Adherence: Ensure proper execution of Poka-Yoke (error-proofing) mechanisms and soldering standards for multi-layer/high-density boards and automotive-grade components.
• ESD & Cleanliness Compliance: Maintain strict shop-floor compliance with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection and cleanroom/cleanliness standards for automotive electronics.
• Material & Scrap Control: Monitor material usage on the line to minimize solder paste, component scrap, and production waste.
• Team Supervision & 5S: Direct, train, and evaluate line operators and technicians. Drive daily 5S activities and Lean Production practices on the shop floor.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline.

• Language Proficiency: English is required as a working language (conversational to fluent written and spoken).

• Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.
  • At least 3+ years in an SMT workshop supervisory or line leadership role (Production Supervisor / Team Lead).

• Technical Knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of end-to-end SMT assembly line operations (especially Fuji placement equipment, SPI, AOI, and testing equipment).
  • Familiarity with automotive electronics assembly, conformal coating, dispensing, and burn-in processes.

• Quality & Tools:

  • Working knowledge of ISO9001, IATF16949, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Familiarity with Automotive Core Tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP) and basic quality problem-solving methods.

• Soft Skills: Strong shop-floor leadership, communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage operators effectively in a fast-paced environment.
