PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join PULAI CALCIUM INDUSTRIES SDN BHD/ROCK POWDER SDN BHD in Simpang Pulai, Perak. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing daily production operations and ensuring efficient manufacturing processes. As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining production schedules, managing production teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This role is integral to our manufacturing operations, directly contributing to our commitment to delivering high-quality products and meeting customer demands on time.

What you'll be doing

• Oversee and coordinate daily production activities to ensure schedules are met and production targets are achieved
• Supervise and manage production team members, including task allocation, performance monitoring, and staff development
• Monitor production equipment and machinery, identifying maintenance needs and reporting breakdowns promptly
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, health and safety protocols, and company policies on the production floor
• Conduct regular inspections to verify product quality and adherence to quality standards
• Maintain accurate production records, including output data, labour hours, and material usage
• Communicate with plant management regarding production status, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
• Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings to reinforce workplace safety practices
• Respond promptly to production issues and implement corrective actions as needed

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar supervisory role in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and manufacturing processes
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices
• Proficiency in quality control and quality assurance procedures
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules, technical drawings, and work instructions
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to liaise effectively with all levels of staff
• Problem-solving abilities and capacity to make sound decisions under pressure
• Computer literacy with proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Diploma or certification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred)
• Experience with production planning software and ERP systems (advantageous)
