Production Supervisor

Responsible for monitoring daily production activities, ensuring production targets and quality standards are met, managing manpower and materials, supervising operators, and maintaining a safe and organised working environment.

Job Responsibilities

1. Monitor production activities are executed per production schedule.
2. Ensure manpower, raw material, packaging material, label are all sufficient for day-to-day activities.
3. Ensure all raw materials, packaging, labels are correctly stored, segregated, labelled and practice FIFO control.
4. Ensure all raw material and packaging materials are correctly and timely recorded into respective forms or checklist.
5. Ensure QC testing is conducted by QC laboratory prior to FG packing and ensure only approved raw materials are used for production.
6. Train and supervise operators on all work activities directly or indirectly related to production department.
7. Verify and ensure correct work method as per PBO Work Instruction by operators.
8. Ensure inventory control of raw material, packaging material and labels.
9. Ensure PBO reported details are verified and then closed accurately in the ERP system.

Supervisory Responsibilities

1. Coordinate and supervise designated line leaders and operators as assigned during production process.
2. Ensures good housekeeping and safe work environment in production.
3. To monitor production targets are achieved.
4. To ensure subordinates follow safety, quality and company rules during work hours.
5. To motivate, guide and educate workers to follow process standards.
6. Effectively communicate to management team, lead problem solving / troubleshooting activities.
7. Actively assist and offer positive suggestions for improvements and innovations.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

1. Minimum Diploma holders with at least two years of working experience, preferably in a supervisory role. Fresh engineering graduates are also encouraged to apply.
2. Ability to supervise a team of operators in carrying out their daily job responsibilities.
3. Proven skills in manufacturing environment, ideally within a continuous processing industry, e.g. chemicals, coating, or latex/polymer.
4. Good problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP management systems.
