Production Supervisor

Movement Search and Delivery is working with a leading manufacturer in Hickory, NC to identify and evaluate a Quality Technician for 2nd shift

About the Role:

This fully onsite, 2nd-shift role positions you as the key technical Quality resource supporting Gear Manufacturing and Assembly. You’ll drive training, audits, and process improvements while establishing robust containments that protect the customer from non-conformances. Leveraging existing procedures and measurement methods, you’ll partner across teams to resolve quality issues, support continuous improvement, and ensure consistent compliance on the off-shift. It’s an opportunity to make a visible impact in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment where quality excellence matters every day.

What You Will Do:

• Conduct training on Quality and EHS systems across shifts and perform product/process audits to ensure adherence to control plans, internal procedures, and customer requirements
• Inspect raw materials, investigate suspect parts, initiate sorts, and establish proper containments to prevent flow-out of non-conformances
• Collect and organize data to support problem-solving, process validation, change implementation, and Quality Engineering activities
• Document rework procedures, train operators, authorize non-standard work, and identify practices requiring customer approval
• Assist with PPAP/PTR tracking, management of trial or deviated parts, and shift-specific change implementation
• Resolve internal and external quality issues, respond to customer inquiries (including after-hours), and present data to management for decision-making

What You Need to Succeed:

• 3–5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience with a focus on Quality, preferably in the automotive industry
• Ability to read blueprints and use gauges effectively
• Experience with audits and internal auditing preferred
• Working knowledge of SPC and SAP is a plus
• Forklift experience and strong problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment
