Salary: $77,000.00 USD Annually - $90,000.00 USD Annually

Description Operations Supervisor About the Role The Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing or distribution operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while meeting customer demand and business objectives. This role provides direct leadership to front-line employees, oversees production activities, and drives operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives. The Operations Supervisor works closely with production leads, employees, and facility leadership to optimize resources, achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), and support overall value stream goals.

Key Responsibilities Operations & Production Leadership

• Lead daily production activities to ensure operational targets, schedules, and customer requirements are achieved.
• Monitor production performance and make resource adjustments as needed to support changing production demands.
• Facilitate the achievement of daily production goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure production activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company quality standards.

Team Leadership & Employee Development

• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to front-line employees and production leads.
• Support employee performance, engagement, and professional development within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Foster a collaborative, results-oriented, and positive team environment.

Safety & Quality

• Promote a strong safety culture by demonstrating safe work practices and quality-focused behaviors.
• Ensure safety policies, procedures, and standards are consistently followed across all value streams.
• Conduct and support accident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively and in a timely manner.
• Drive compliance with quality standards and operational procedures.

Continuous Improvement

• Participate in and support Lean manufacturing initiatives, including:

• Kaizen events

• Quality circles

• Problem-solving activities

• SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die) initiatives

• Gemba walks

• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and workplace organization.

• Support and reinforce 5S principles throughout operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Production Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
• Experience leading teams in a manufacturing, production, distribution, or related operational environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and formula creation.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and operational requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in production planning, production control, manufacturing operations, or a related field.

• Experience working in Lean manufacturing environments.

• Working knowledge of quality improvement tools such as:

• 5 Whys

• Pareto Charts

• Fishbone (Ishikawa) Diagrams

• Strong understanding of 5S workplace organization methodologies.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong analytical and data management skills.
• Ability to train and coach employees on quality tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Results-oriented with strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
• Flexible and willing to take on responsibilities beyond traditional role boundaries when needed.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships across teams and departments.
