Production Support Engineer – Shift

South Dublin | 12-Month Contract | €55–€60 per hour DOE

STEM Recruitment Partners are working with an established pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation in South Dublin to recruit a Production Support Engineer for an initial 12-month contract.

The successful engineer will provide hands-on engineering support to a 24-hour production operation, working closely with production, maintenance and engineering teams across formulation, filling, lyophilisation and packaging operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide real-time engineering support to production teams across a 24-hour operation
• Troubleshoot production processes and equipment, including formulation, vial/syringe filling, lyophilisation and packaging
• Lead and support investigations into non-conformances, root causes and corrective actions
• Attend daily production meetings and drive engineering actions through to completion
• Support equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure activities are completed in accordance with GxP procedures and regulatory requirements
• Support change controls and engineering projects
• Provide technical guidance to operators and maintenance technicians

Requirements

• Third-level qualification in Mechanical, Process, Chemical, Manufacturing, Biotech or a related engineering discipline
• 5+ years' engineering experience within a regulated manufacturing environment
• Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences or cleanroom/semiconductor experience would be considered
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills
• Previous experience working in a shift-based manufacturing environment is advantageous
• Ability to work a 4-cycle shift pattern, including days and nights

Contract & Package

• Initial 12-month contract, with potential for extension
• €55–€60 per hour, depending on experience and suitability
• South Dublin
