Production Support Specialist

Department: Production
Reports To: Production Manager

Starting Salary: $35,500–$44,000 per year, based on experience and skill

About the Position

Founded in 1964, Papercone Corporation is a leading producer of specialty envelopes and packaging.

We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Production Support Specialist to join our production team. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys staying organized, solving problems, working with numbers and systems, and supporting a fast-paced manufacturing operation.

The Production Support Specialist plays an important role in keeping production running smoothly. This position goes beyond data entry—you will help coordinate materials, inventory, job documentation, labels, production paperwork, and order completion while working closely with the production team.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, comfortable working with computers and spreadsheets, and able to recognize and resolve issues before they impact production.

Key Responsibilities

Perform accurate and timely data entry and maintain production information in company systems.
Assist with cycle counts and other inventory activities.
Create and prepare labels for production jobs.
Print and organize pallet sheets and other production documentation.
Check materials for incoming jobs to ensure everything is available and correct.
Verify that each machine has the materials needed to complete assigned jobs and make adjustments when necessary.
Review completed orders to ensure all requirements have been met and close jobs out in the system.
Review and make necessary updates to job jackets and production documentation.
Monitor production needs and communicate material or documentation issues to the appropriate team members.
Order supplies as needed to support daily operations.
Work closely with production personnel and management to help keep jobs moving efficiently.
Maintain accurate records and organized documentation.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the production operation.
