What they need
Innovators in Architectural Fabric Tension Systems
OneFrame is New Zealand’s leading manufacturer of architectural fabric tension systems designing and manufacturing specific to the architectural and specifier market across all industry sectors. We are vertically integrated and design and build everything in-house: our proprietary aluminium systems, LED lighting, large-format printed textiles, acoustic solutions, and bespoke engineered structures for some of NZ’s most recognisable brands.
We’re expanding our production capability and are looking for a motivated, detail-driven team member to join our manufacturing crew.
YOU WILL WORK ACROSS:
ALUMINIUM FABRICATION
You’ll be hands-on with a wide range of aluminium profiles and custom extrusions, preparing components to exact tolerances. This includes:
- Precision cutting, drilling, tapping, and deburring of aluminium frame sections
- Assembling structural and non-structural frames using our proprietary OneFrame systems
- Finishing components to a high architectural standard, including surface prep, alignment, squaring, and hardware integration
- Interpreting technical drawings, CAD outputs, and fabrication notes to ensure accuracy in every build
You’ll work with a mix of standard and bespoke sections, often creating project-specific configurations.
LIGHTING INTEGRATION
Our illuminated systems are engineered using high-performance LED technology. You will:
- Install LED modules, strip lighting, and diffusion systems into custom aluminium housings
- Mount and connect drivers, splitters, low-voltage wiring, and control components
- Ensure correct load distribution and troubleshoot lighting irregularities when required
- Work with dynamic lighting formats, including programmable RGB/RGBW and high-CRI white systems
- Pace installations to align with architectural and retail-grade quality expectations
Training will be provided on our Lucent™ lighting standards, DALI drivers, and system specifications.
CUSTOM PROJECT BUILDS
Every job is different. You will help bring to life:
- One-off prototypes and engineered solutions
- Complex geometric structures, curved frames, and tension systems
- High-end retail displays and illuminated window systems
- Architectural features integrating lighting, acoustics, and large-format printed textiles
- Bespoke joinery-style builds requiring creative problem-solving and technical adaptability
This role is ideal for someone who loves variety and enjoys turning concepts into physical solutions.
SITE-BASED PROJECTS
While most work is workshop-based, there will be requirements to:
- Assist installers on site during specialised or technical installations
- Support measurements, fit-offs, and final adjustments in commercial or retail environments
- Represent OneFrame professionally with clients, contractors, and fit-out partners
These days provide exposure to the full end-to-end process and help refine understanding of design intent.
QUALITY CONTROL
Our products are installed in high-visibility spaces, so quality is everything. You will be responsible for:
- Checking all assemblies against manufacturing drawings & tolerances
- Ensuring LED systems function consistently and safely before dispatch
- Inspecting joins, edges, alignment, and finish quality
- Preparing completed builds for safe packing, transport, and installation readiness
- Maintaining clean, organised workspaces and a high standard of workshop discipline
You will be a key part of ensuring every product leaving the facility meets OneFrame’s architectural-grade expectations.
CROSS-DEPARTMENT COLLABORATION
You will work closely with:
- Design to interpret technical drawings and understand project intent
- Manufacturing to coordinate production flow, materials, and timelines
- Technical to integrate lighting, custom hardware, and engineered components
This is a collaborative, solution-focused environment where your ideas and technical input will help shape the final outcome of each custom build.
ABOUT YOU
You're naturally hands-on, curious, and solution-focused. You enjoy technical problem-solving and the satisfaction of completing custom builds.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Experience in aluminium fabrication or metalworking
Other offers great for you!
